This Port Mourant 2008 is a standout Guyanese release from a famous wooden pot still. After being distilled in 2008, it spent some time ageing in the UK in a cooler climate. This "continental ageing" gives the Rum a more elegant and smooth character compared to those aged entirely in the heat.

When it was bottled in 2019, the Rum arrived at 43% ABV with a clean and natural taste. On the nose, it offers herbal and spicy scents, while the flavour is a savory mix of aniseed, liquorice and rich molasses. Because it was aged in ex-bourbon and has no added sugar or colouring, it stays true to the fans of traditional Demerara Rum.
