Hine Cognac 1987 is a vintage cognac from the Grande Champagne region, known for its exceptional quality. Hine is renowned for producing single-vintage cognacs, which capture the essence of a specific year's harvest. The 1987 vintage was a good year for cognac, with a climate that allowed for a delicate and nuanced spirit.
The original cask arrived in the UK during 1990, and then rested here for 16 years before bottling in 2006. Hine Cognac 1987 availability now is extremely limited.
Nose: A delicate bouquet with notes of tartness and a hint of mushroom. There are hints of orange marmalade and fresh gingerbread.
Palate: A subtle taste of marmalade, which evolves into flavours of vanilla. Gingerbread and delicate spices like ginger are also present. The texture is often described as silky smooth.
Finish: Surprisingly long and warming.
