This Enmore 1988, 30 year old Sherry Finish is a rare piece of history from a legendary Guyanese distillery that closed decades ago.

Distilled on a unique wooden still, it spent 20 years in ex-bourbon casks followed by a decade in a Sherry butt. Because much of this aging happened in the UK’s cooler climate, the Rum developed deep, complex flavours without becoming overly woody or bitter.

When bottled in 2018, it offered a rich nose of raisins and plum mixed with old-school notes of leather and tobacco. The sherry finish adds a gentle sweetness that perfectly balances the spirit’s natural strength. On the palate, the Rum feels thick and "chewy," tasting of dark chocolate, coffee and dried fruit. It ends with a long, warm finish of orange peel and spice, making it a prized choice for collectors who want a taste of a lost era of Rum making.
