Delamain 1996 is a vintage Cognac, meaning it's made from grapes harvested in a single year (1996).
It hails from the Grande Champagne region, considered the finest cru (growing area) in Cognac. The term "early landed" indicates the Cognac was brought to the UK during 1998. This vintage was bottled by Bristol Spirits Ltd for a well-known wine and spirits merchant during in 2015. This is a balance of the remaining stock. Once it’s gone, it will become drinking history.
On the palate, it has a rich, multi-layered taste with a persistent, fruity finish. The aromatic bouquet includes notes of honey, ripe fruit, jam and roasted almonds.
Delamain is known for producing vintage Cognacs and for its long-standing reputation as a family-run house, dating back to the 18th century.
